Anonymously

The mask that people wear on their faces serves the same purpose as hiding behind a computer screen. People dress up as clowns all around the United States to commit crimes and do things they wouldn’t dream of doing when they were dressed up as themselves. There is a difference between being funny and terrorizing others. Who would visit a school at 3 AM just to freak kids out, dressed as themselves? Most people wouldn’t be able to bully someone face-to-face, so they hide behind the screen of their electronic device and type all sorts of cruel things anonymously. Being anonymous makes a person feel less guilty because they think they escaped the consequences. The fact that no one knows who it is allows the person to have two faces. The one that stays hidden underneath the mask is the one that can break the whole person, if discovered. But why even do something if is shameful to admit?
